If the report is true that Toronto turned down 3 1sts for OG then it's probably Cam and 4 1sts for Pascal. So question is would you rather have Siakam and Bridges or KD. I think it's a valid debate but personally I'd go KD because of my belief the best player on the floor determines most playoff series.

Without a doubt, Siakam and Bridges. Best player has to be ON the floor. He probably will be, but no guarantee. Is he better than Giannis?
I don't necessarily believe best player on the floor determines things. Seems we haven't had a ton of problems with Denver. The best team overall usually wins. LeBron and AD can't even make the playoffs. Kobe couldn't win until he had the best team. Neither could KG. Or LeBron. Or Jordan. You have to have a good team.
I'd argue CP outplayed Jokic in that Phoenix vs Denver series. But yeah it's not that the best player automatically wins but it's very very common.
The suns two recent playoff losses were Giannis and Luka being that guy.
Look at LeBrons finals losses. It's to Duncan twice, Curry once alone then twice with KD and KD was a supernova in one of those, and dirk once. All without a doubt first ballot hall of famers. I'd also say in all but one of those series LeBron was either matched or flat out out played in that specific series.
You can go back to the 80s and every championship team except Detroit and maybe Toronto (depending how you rank Kahwi) and every one of those teams has had a guy who's minimum top 50 players of all time and most were won by guys who are top 10 all time.
Heck it would make the NBA more interesting if this wasn't the case but it's pretty clear you need an all time great to win chips.

I wasn't that down on the CP3 trade...I had just wished we could have done it without the pick and was worried about his health overall and for the playoffs.
As for KD, I mainly just didn't think it would happen over the summer, but again, now, am mostly worried about health given the achilles and MCL stuff. Then I was surprised we needed to include that many picks. I figured it would take Bridges AND Cam, though I didn't think they really would want them in the summer given their wings, and then they got DFS. But those unprotected picks is a lot. I am not saying we won't win a championship but it's not guaranteed and I don't like sacrificing the future for the present as I like to enjoy watching the team and I like to have players I really like. I know for you, you have the Bucks so if we have a big rough stretch it's less of an issue. But with Paul, I was never a huge Oubre fan, and I knew he wanted a lot of money, and while I liked Rubio, I knew CP3 was a huge upgrade. I just thought OKC, given his contract, was probably eager to get rid of Paul at the time because his value had taken a big hit with that enormous contract and Houston just had given them picks plus Paul to get Westbrook. But he did play really well in OKC. I just didn't know how long he would have left and if he could stay healthy since it was his first healthy year in a while.
