People wanting big moves in off-season will be disappointed. It will be far easier to move Lowry or Duncan before next year's deadline than off-season.
Also easier to snag upset big fish. But ya never know.

P.s. just wanted to add that my number 1 off season priority is making haslem a GD coach and opening up that roster spot for Jamal Cain or bouyea or whoever else.

If that’s truly the case (I don’t think it is) then blow it up. We can’t sit on our hands until next deadline and win anything significant, it would be a wasted season at that point

Can't look at it like that. Our priorities this off-season will be to keep Dipo and at least one of Gabe/Strus (preferably both but it only takes one team to throw 12-15M per and they're gone). And of course move on from Haslem. Go into the tax.
I just don't realistically see who we could move Lowry to. Things will ofc be more clear in offseason but I just don't see a likely Lowry partner. (we will all dream of Lowry+Duncan and FRP's for Dame but, it's a pipedream)

Moving Lowry before trade deadline makes much more sense. A team might look at him as the missing piece. He will match salaries. If RW making 47M can get moved, Lowry obviously will be far easier to move. And Duncan next year would only have one full year and a partially guarantee after that, and maybe we showcase him a bit and gets thrown into a deal and isn't a complete negative.

Offseason is a time for stars to force themselves off teams / Sign & Trades and a time for teams to make splashy signings (we have no cap space). So that's why I think we will be quiet unless someone demands Miami. The trade deadline just makes far more sense. Teams are like, dang time to move on. Blow it up. Before they lose someone for nothing. And we pounce and have Lowry and Duncan and Caleb and Herro to use in trades and FRP's and Jovic and 2023 rookie (whoever we draft). We will have a very very different basket of assets and far more flexible contracts to match.

If we don't do any big moves in offseason AND the deadline, this forum will explode lmao. But I just don't see any chance the heat do that. We waited this whole year for next year to play at the big boy table with a much better hand.

This is such petty **** from the Cavs. First Love signed a long term deal there after Lebron leaves you high and dry then he suffers injurie and goes through severe depression. Cleveland at this point are in full tank mode and frustrated Love essentially requests to be traded but due to his injuries and contract Cavs refuse to move him because it would cost them. He finally comes back accepts a bench role behind rookies and helps mentor the young guys to where the team is now and giving them what some around the league were considering him the 6moty and now they refuse to play him nearly at all and they refuse to buy him out because he might come here.

I hope any player looking at that never sign a contract with that organization.

Also if they don't let him go solely because he wanted to play here, I hope we get them in the first round and send them packing regardless.

Also hope we end up taking Donovan off them.

Cavaliers must be going through some mental gymnastics there "We don't think you should be in our rotation because we have better starters and reserves at your position, so we are prepared to buy you out, but only if you don't go to the Heat, who we may end up meeting in the playoffs., because we are worried you may be a difference maker in the series and make us look silly"

They were classy in getting Wade back to Miami but now they are pulling this. Either buy him out or don't but don't tell him what team he can sign with lol.

No. I'd do that for dame to pair with Jimmy's time-line. Forget Beal. What has be done or won to make people want him so bad. Just a Stat collector with tons of opportunities on bad teams.

Theyre doing him a favor. They'll make him sign with a west team. Makes plenty of sense. We are just upset chz we want him.

Bill simmons was convinced today that the zombie miami heat would land love and start turning the corner and upset some big team in playoffs. And he said we'd be the first team with a negative net rating to win 50 games lmao.

Too bad it won't happen.

Taking Donovan in free agency will be an amazing day Heat fans will have waited years for. Not if, but when.

Praying we get Dame and a starting caliber 4 this summer. Then sign vets to fill out the roster and win a championship. Literally my top dream scenario that could also he somewhat realistic.

Dame grew up a Heat fan

Giannis expected to miss a little time with a hand injury, Embiid considering sitting out a few weeks to get ready for the playoffs and get rid of a lingering foot issue. It’s a shame we suck and aren’t in a position to take advantage of that

Sounds like a guy you’d love to play against if your backcourt had Mitchell and Garland….

Mann has stepped in very well at PG and now they’ve added Bones and EG. There might not be a place for those 2
