You gotta play him heavy minutes in quarters 1-3 and bench him the 4th. Let him run the show when Kawhi and PG are resting.
But Westbrook would never accept that role
And you throw the game in some of those quarters. Like yesterday in the 1st.
Look everyone should know what Westbrook does to your team. He is a player who has the ball in his hands all the time because he can't play in other way. And he is a "PG" which is worst so at the end he has a lot of time the ball when he plays.
Ok then what he does with the ball in his hands. Lose balls that destroy the rythm of the team because he is a player that force things and take constantly bad decisions he has a pace playing like crazy man all his career the only way he created things all his career it's for his athletic ability losing his defender which is gone.
Take shots that even he knows that they are not going in because he has the touch of a rock and the confidence destroyed and he never has been a good shooter at least when he was young in Okc he had a mid range shot that open for him score more easy well that's gone too. And having the touch of a rock he miss a ton of layups when he force the plays when he try to score inside
Try to score in the post or inside a 6'3 guard without his athletic ability and without any touch or footwork something that can make your life easier to score inside
At the end what do you have on offense a point guard who can't shoot, can't play without the ball, he is the personification of ineficency as a scorer because he can't shoot or score inside and with the ball in his hands having a high volume of ball in his hands and all of this does that he take bad decisions because he is a bad player reading the game too and he is the point guard of your team
How do you fit this on offense. If you can't take the ball out of his hands because he is a liability the teams directly float him like crazy and they throw 2 on 1 versus the best player because they know that him in the three point line and with space outside have a high chance of end his team without score. It's facilitate the defense of your rival or even worst having a big chance to score in transition. If it's impossible to have chemistry and good offensive flow what you does. Suffer. It's like if you have a giant rock in front of your car you can move the rock with your car pushing it?.
All of this on offense.
On defense
How do you adjust a defense with him. The Clippers fans know that Marcus Morris is horrible on defense. Well imagine him being 6'3 that's Westbrook.
On ball he can't stop even a cone only maybe sometimes luckily being physical in the post when a bigger guy try to score over him in the post.
Off the ball he is literally a disaster the only he does is watch the ball he lose his man all the time. He read the things on defense 3 seconds after the play a lot moments he is thinking losing his concentration and not on the game or the play. So all of this end having an horrible comunication on defense with his teammates and the defense is a thing of the five guys not only one. He literally destroy the chemistry if you try to create some defensive chemistry with him.
This is what you have with him in your team.
