What do you think the bucks game plan was last night?
I am guessing you are going to say play great defense without fouling. But that’s everyone’s game plan, except when bad free throw shooters are involved.
No. Go google Booker's game last night and watch how the Bucks are playing him. He does have a few drives, but most of those are on Carter or Wes and with Lopez out of the game. Now could there be a foul in there, sure but that happens to everyone.
Now watch how they bucks play with Jrue on him and Lopez laying off and tell me what shots Booker is taking and how many times hes attacks the basket. There is a reason hes not getting ft's and its not the refs not calling fouls.
Well I saw a lot of the game. Even with Jrue on him, they often screen off him, and he had a lot of transition drives as well.
In real time, on tv, it’s hard to see a lot of fouls of course. I only remember two not called on Booker, one that they slowed down, which was after a goaltend. I did see a few on Payne and Okogie that were not called, but again hard to tell for sure in real time.
I think it’s more likely than not that the Bucks got a significantly better whistle in the game, but it’s obviously hard to prove with a high degree of certainty without the entire game in slow motion.
