It would take at least OG+13. Probably some slight value more on top (2nds, precious)

Some people make too much out of what they think OG’s value is. Of course he’s an incredibly valuable defender for any contender BUT we’re not that and reality has hopefully finally set in these guys aren’t good enough.

I don’t know a perfect comparison for Scoot but I’d anticipate he’ll have a very similar impact to prime DRose, not the same player as Ja but those kinds of lead guards/face of the franchise…so that would be an easy yes for me personally. I’d give a very outside chance that maaaybe DET would consider it but I’d be very surprised if they didn’t just elect to take Miller instead and keep more control over him for longer.

IF someone would, I do it and don’t even think twice. Considering what Scoot would likely command in a trade in a few years from now, you’ll never get a star guard of that calibre for a lower asking price than now before they show what they’re capable of (ie/ we should’ve traded OG for the POR #7 and drafted Sharpe when we had the chance; now no chance). I know this board likes to have wet dreams of another miracle trade for a Kawhi level player but I think trading our key players for better picks is the far more likely route to not only get a star but keep them.

Ya im probably underestimating how much it would cost. Dallas would probably demand OG/Precious/13 AND we'd have to find a C for them. Portland would probably want the same. They'd only do it if theyre building a legit contender

Do not trade up in this draft...only trade down.

Scoot not improving from year 1 to year 2 in the G league is a major red flag.

Scoot is a future star. I’d trade whatever it takes from this roster to get him. Ideally though, we paid him with Scottie.

My big lean from Davis struggling out of the gate is that it makes me scared of Hood-Schiffino, Bufkin and Sensabaugh a bit, since I think the perimeter play in the Big 10 has really gone downhill. Purdue's guards (even being freshman) looking completely outmatched against a 16 seed didn't help either.

The G league is a very messed up league to get a read on 18 and 19 year olds.

Jaden Hardy is a prime example of that. His numbers with the Ignite were awful and this year he went back to the g-league with the Mavs affiliate and went INSANE.

I just saw that he's apparently a good offensive rebounder too.

We know Masai likes them big, and with that height and wingspan, Dick's got size.

Anyone who lands the top two picks are going to rearrange their team to accommodate those top two.

Do g league rims have the same tension as NBA rims? You may be able to inflate Sidy's and L. Miller's ft% by about 1.5% based on the 1 free throw rule, but you may be able to inflate it more based on the rim tensions too when comparing to college.

On the negative side the G league is a much faster pace league so counting stats are probably quite inflated relative to college on a per game/ per 36 or 40 basis.

I’d do it. We sorely need elite talent and Scoot has that

This isn’t even worth debating. I would give up everything except Scottie for the number 2 pick.

I'm willing to debate it, I would trade down if we got the #2 pick in an instant.

If OG + #13 nets Scoot, I'd drive him to the airport myself.

Ya, but these are kids going up against actual professionals. A guy like Hardy is probably top 10 in a re-draft, and he fell because of his stats in the G-league. G-league is a big step up from college ball
