I think it's a couple things. Thibs rotations are ass. You can't have them sit a entire qtr and then come in the following qtr just sitting on there ass and expect them to perform.
IQ use to check in the game way earlier in the regular season. They just never seen to get into the flow of the game. That is on thibs.
RJ had the ability to start the game and get into the flow and turn it around. I'm not saying they should start (well maybe Grimes). But sub in IQ earlier and just get him into the flow faster. Lot of playoff basketball is a confidence things that you belong. Too many of the young guys looks tentative...like they aren't trying to make mistakes...you can't play that way.
I do hate when Thibs plays 3+ starters almost the entire quarter. But it is tough to trust IQ. Hope he breaks out but don’t think they can afford to keep playing him extended min when he comes out playing bad. He did get 27 and 29min before this game. I think it was the right call to pull him in this one.
They do need him though
