I know you're excited, but could you explain to me why the city would be excited about bringing him back for those dollars? He's old, they're young and terrible.

Don't think Philly should care. If they win a title, great. If they don't win a title, windows probably closed

How would you have felt Iverson or DR J went somewhere else and returned back to Philadelphia. Unless you are from Houston can’t imagine how beloved James still is in Houston

I know people obsess over the playoffs because it's well the playoffs but what is more likely Harden will be the player he was over the last 58 regular season games. Or a series of 6 or 7 games.

He wasnt even drafted by Houston.

He spent the first 3 years of his career in OKC. I know he spent the prime of his career in Houston basically 8.5 seasons but Allen Iverson was drafted by Philly he spent 12 seasons here and basically left when he was washed. Sorry not comparable. You want to compare Iverson to someone in a similar situation the names that come to mind are guys like Gary Payton and Karl Malone.

Harden is still a top NBA player and is building a legacy separate from the Rockets. The deeper we advance in the playoffs the further from a Rocket he becomes in most casual fans minds. That is just the reality.

That's a talk radio host. I don't listen to him or that station so I don't know why he thinks that.

I would say it's very hard to believe that Morey would let Harden go. That's his guy. So until it happens I don't buy it.

Not particularly a Philly fan specifically, but I get it. I would love for him to come back if I were you, but not for max dollars. You actually have a proper rebuild going on down there, it sounds like the perfect way to F it up

Honestly the more I watch this Sixers team’s potential with Maxey and Embiid if he dosent return he needs to stay there and win a few rings. The pick and roll and pop with Embiid is a 100 tating on nba2k cheat code

Harden did great tonight, got a couple nice steals, was aggressive early, then they denied him the ball and the driving lanes and he went into point guard mode. Set up Embiid on the roll perfectly for those mid range shots and found Maxey for some nice 3s. Set up House's transition buckets.

Not a 40 bomb, but a great all around game from Harden, 2 rebounds away from a triple double and +10 even with a good chunk of minutes being played with no Embiid.

I'll like to say, the Harden/Rockets fans that came here after the trade have been amazing and super cordial, especially because we really can be harsh on guys. Harden has taken a lot of **** from us and they have taken the criticism in good sport and been super supportive of the team.

It's been a fun experience with them, especially after having to interact with the Aussie fans of Ben.

This is gonna be true still, even if we end up losing this series somehow

Feels so good to not have to read those Aussie weirdos on here anymore. What a time that was.

I was so hyped when they announced Iverson was being brought back here in December 2009. My freshman year of college. Vibes were immaculate as the kids say. I knew he was kinda washed, but it was the Eddie Jordan year, peak treadmill era so not much to be excited about with Iguodala, Rodney Carney, rookie Jrue Holiday, Elton Brand, Dalembert, Willie Green, Jodie Meeks, Marreese Speights, etc.

Had some memorable games (the last duel with Kobe), then fizzled out due to his daughter's health unless it was some other undisclosed off-court drama.

Harden snubbed from All-NBA honors.

When we win the chip this year, he'll be considered a bonafide top-25 player of all time. Might even crack the top 20.

Biggest joke of the bullschiit 'awards' season. I'm happy for Embiid that he won the MVP because it was so important to him, but the reason I don't pay attention to any awards that the hack, agenda-driven media has anything to do with can be wrapped up in the fact that Harden is snubbed while James gets 3rd team. An absolute travesty.

It's not too surprising. He didn't make the all star game this year and he even regressed after all star break. Not saying it's right, but in terms of regular season awards, it's pretty expected.

The more I think about it the harder it is to justify Lillard making All-NBA over Harden or Booker.

Idk man. He led the league in assists and his team had the 3rd best record in the league.

The excuse for Fox making the team is the Kings had the 3rd seed in the West, but it's evident that Harden had a more impactful season by every metric imaginable. Then you have Lillard, who scored a ton of points on a losing team while only playing 58 games. Hell, he even had a better regular season than Butler, and he made 2nd team.

There's an obvious bias against James and I think that's hard to argue.

Harden also only played 58 and didn't have nearly the statistical season Dame had.

I thought there seemed to be bias against Harden around the all star selection where he was hardly even mentioned, but I didn't think he had any shot at All NBA

No snub there really, he wasn’t one of the best 6 guards in the league this year. Dame was the last guard in and Harden didn’t have a better season than him. Also we don't need a Harden that's a top-15 player to do our thing the rest of the PO--just need him to be about what he was in the RS overall but consistently.

EDIT: Dame's season easily beats Harden's in most 'metrics' I'm looking at (though Harden looks pretty good in all of them):

Harden was snubbed from the AS game.

I didn't think Harden was All-NBA this year.
