How strongly do you believe this? 2) let’s assume 1)lebron retires/synthetically retires from la by sitting year out rehabbing his foot waiting for bronny 2)por management is dead set on winning now, would Portland entertain a 3, sharpe, nurkic (or any salary doesn’t have to be nurkic) for Anthony davis and Vanderbilt trade? Even if you don’t like it, do you think Portland management pulls the trigger if they go win now or can they find better?
I think that is exactly the kind of deal that the Blazers would make. I believe Dame and Davis have a relationship and we know Lillard advocated for acquiring Vanderbildt.
I would guess Portland would want to hold on to Sharpe but if they can free up the draft pick debt to the Bulls I can see:
Simons, Nurkic (salary filler), #3, and then two unprotected 1sts for AD and then Vanderbilt fits into the GP2 trade exception
I think thats pretty heavy w/ those 2 UNP FRPs due to AD's health - but would likely do that if we kept Dame.
Would also have to move 23 to CHI for the pick returned IMO.
G - Damian Lillard
G - Matisse Thybulle / Shadeon Sharpe
F - Jerami Grant / Nas Little
F - Jarred Vanderbilt / Justice Winslow
C - Anthony Davis / Drew Eubanks
That looks like a contender to me - unsure if we should use the MLE on a bench player or roll back the SS / Nas / JW / Drew crew.
