I really hope one of the top 11 drop to us. Coulibaly is a guy teams would reach for, and I’m hoping if that the case some team might reach for Rupert as well. I can also see someone taking Sensabaugh before 13 just because he’s probably a 20 ppg guy very early in his career.

still raw and 5th option

Bilal is not some can’t miss prospect lol. It’s not a failure on Masai’s end if OKC picks him or Masai passes on him.

I also think this whole draft is weaker than people say it is. I have a feeling a few guys will get picked in the 20’s-30’s that should have gone in the top 7.

Sasser, Jaquez, Jones, Podz, Jackson, TJD, Keyonte Johnson, Kobe Brown
Unless someone drops it almost seems better to trade back for 2 or more picks in the 20’s back

Dereck Lively is a really damn good passer, nobody talks about his passing but he can make some bullet passes and processes the action and where to pass the ball pretty quickly for a 19 year old big man. He does not lack in the IQ department. Just looking at the 1.1 assists per 20 mins doesn't explain his ability. He didn't have the ball in his hands a lot at Duke. There's a lot more to him than his college production would have you believe.

If he can known down the 3 at a decent rate, he’s an instant lotto talent.

He should be gone by 10. If he’s not, he should be in play at our pick whether or not Poeltl is here.

What the consesus top 10 is usually never happens and there are almost always at least 3-4 players that turn out to be busts in that top 10. Then their are guys from 10-20 who teams pass over that end up better. The draft always has some randomness to it.

Yep. I been said the same thing too.
If we can't get Wallace or Bufkin at #13, I'd be perfectly happy moving back to #21 and #22 from Brooklyn.
Podziemski, Sasser, Cissoko, Jones, Jackson-Davis and maybe even Miller will be available at those spots.
Even in the second round - Johnson, Bailey, Propser and Clark are all guys that I think could carve out a role in the league and by doing so, outperform their draft position.
I'd really hope the FO is giving it every consideration.

Definitely. We probably need some guys to rise if the guys we want will be available. I can see Bufkin going before we pick as well, and I wouldn’t be surprised if a Thompson twin or two fall, in addition to Wallace with the back issues.

Good list of guys that would be great if we ended up with a late first via a big trade.
I like the high bpm guys

I’m not even sold on those two. Either take somebody way off the board at 13 or trade down like you said.

In my opinion, the worst case scenario for guys like them are that they become role players and assets given the chance a big name becomes available.

There's a lot of NBA ready guys but you're right, talent wise this draft class is top heavy. Outside of the top 3, there's not a lot of star power, if any.

Re: 2023 Draft Discussion Part 5
Who are the most NBA ready players in our range?
Hawkins? Jett?
If we hire Sergio, IMO that signals we're looking to win-now, which leads me to believe that we're much less likely to draft a raw, project player.

Sidy rocking the Lamelo's maybe a sign he goes to Charlotte
Seriously, what is with these 18/19 year old kids looking like Jimmy Butler? Sidy and Scoot look physically ready to play in the NBA.
WTF!He grew like an inch (not 2 or 3 though) since last year and seemed like he gained weight with that growth. Geez, now looks like he's been getting ripped in the off-season. This is scary how quickly he's been able to do it. Could see him bullying Coulibaly around.
Only reason to take Coulibaly over Cissoko is you believe that he will shoot 4-5% higher from 3 than Sidy.
Completely agree. I would 100% take Sidy over Bilal.

Coach "Spins" has Lively going to Dallas at 10 and Coulibaly just getting past OKC (who takes Leonard Miller at 12) to us at 13.
