Sharpe has TMac, Vince Carter type fluidity and feel. Bilal is slightly more skilled than OG. There's as much a gap between them skill wise as there is between Jokic and Aron Baynes.

Bilal is actually a really good defender.
Sharpe can shoot and jump but LaVine is a much closer comparison of his ceiling until he shows he can actually play on both sides of the ball.
With that said, I’d love Sharpe on Toronto
Yeah, I'm not comparing these guys but I just think ppl are like oh he's tall and has long arms and is athletic. So many tools!
Deandre Daniels was 6'9 with a 7'2 wingspan and could handle it and score, but he sucked. Again, not comparing the 2, but you have to look at actual skills instead of just assuming they will develop. Dude is long and athletic but his shot is bad, he doesn't seem fluid with the ball, he's not strong enough to be a lockdown defender. Like there's a TON of things that have to go perfectly for him to be what everyone is hoping he will be.
That's not to say it's impossible, but at some point you gotta look at more than just physicals.

We have vastly different opinions.
I see an 18 year old blowing up as the games get more intense and more important. I see a team giving an 18 year old more and more responsibility as the team progresses in the playoffs.
I personally think he has a great foundation for his jumper. It’s a bit slow and mechanical but he’s not broken like Amen or Ausar Thompson.
I think he’s pretty smooth moving around the court and he went from people saying he had no handle to now it’s not fluid. I call that progress for an 18 year old.
There are enough stats on Twitter that shows he is a lockdown defender in France vs grown men. In interviews he takes pride for his defense before his offense. The mentality is there. There is definitely a dog in him. And again, he’s about the same size as Mikal Bridges who is a pretty good defender.
There is a lot more to Bilal than physical. I’ve been following him since January, having spent a lot of time watching his FIBA video from last summer. It is incredible to see how far he’s come in less than a year. I see no reason to believe the developmental curve is going to flatten anytime soon.
My selfish me is hoping he Jaylen Brown’s the finals - lol
