So KPs agent is Schwartz who’s got a great Heat relationship and now he’s about to opt in to his contract that would be easier to trade.

ICCs soggy nuggets and watChOut both reported a couple hours before FA started that Beal was headed to Miami, then the KD request came out and Miami apparently pivoted to KD which in return led Beal to signing the Supermax with Washington which ended up working out better for him money wise and now he’s trade eligible.

Porzingis just became one of our best trade possibilities. I don't think Beal is going to be discussed. His annual pay raises on his contract look like a major detractor. I think the team will just ride it out with Herro making half of that. Keep in mind Herro is also a Schwartz client.

Porzingis def scares me with his injury history, but damn that would be a sweet pairing next to Bam. I always thought he would opt out to seek a new deal this offseason (since he had his best and healthiest season). With that, I didn't think he was realistically in play for us. But, this news is encouraging.

Either way, I believe Washington entering a rebuild (which is the smart play for them) is very likely key for Miami being able to make moves to improve the roster without being absurdly price gouged (or outbid).

Miami trading Lowry, Herro, Duncan, and Oladipo plus 2-3 FRPs for Porzingis and Beal makes our squad extremely potent. It's also somewhat realistic considering (a) Porzingis is a 1-year rental before hitting free agency--he legitimately may be impossible to keep and (b) Beal has a no trade clause and is widely considered to be an albatross contract.

That’d be a damn good offseason. My only complaint is I love having at least 1 3 point specialist on the team. I’d love to go after Alec Burks, he had a ridiculous shooting season. Maybe get him instead of Crowder and move Martin to the backup 4

Not having a true movement shooter on the team def would call for a pivot in many of Spo's preferred offensive sets.

I guess it wouldn’t be back breaking though; I mean the nuggets didn’t really have a specialist and they just won. Maybe KCP but he’s more 3 and D on lower volume shooting than someone I’d consider a specialist. Forgot MPJ too but he had 1 good game

With Beal, KP, Martin, JRich, KO you have guys that can knock down the 3 at a very respectable rate close to the same volume as KCP.

Still would love Dame bombing 10 3s a night on near 40% shooting. Think it would open the floor so much for Bam and Jimmy considering how deep he can shoot from as well. Also those high pick n rolls near mid court with Bam catching and attacking from 3 (maybe even popping and shooting occasionally from 3) could carve teams up

Utah really likes him. They chose him to go this year to be there lottery representative. He also happens to be a Klutch client

Beal... if Miami can find another starting PF, Beal is the VET offensive outside scorer they've been needing. He had a dip in the 21-22 season but for 4 of the last 5 seasons he's been the #1 option of a bad team and still putting up league average or better ORTGs and a TS% of around .580. Team him up with Spoelstra and I think he has much more efficient years with the Heat, you could run the offense through Beal and Bam for the first 3 quarters letting Butler play off the ball, making his cuts, somewhat saving his energy and near the end of the game Butler can go all out as the #1 with Beal able to space the floor with him... that is if Beal isn't already dominating the game, in that case you stick with Beal.

The bolded is exactly why I'm higher on Beal than most. Situation matters when looking at counting and advanced stats. Beal is a certified bucket getter that can create his own offense and score on all 3 levels. Is he dame? No. But, IMO Beal is comparable to all of the other scoring guards mentioned as options and is likely attainable for less future assets than most. Dude has always been facing the defense's full attention and top defenders and still puts up efficient offense. Miami is uniquely situated to benefit a player like Beal and to benefit from a player like Beal

If Schwartz is working with the intentions in helping his client get to Miami I doubt he's also trying to facilitate Beal coming in and taking his other client Herro's job in Miami. It's going to be Beal or Porzingis not both coming here. Just too much salary now and in the future for Arison to stomach. Considering the dynamics surrounding Porzingis and him wanting to be in Miami previously. I say we are the leaders in the club house for his services.

I honestly think Beals just been coasting since they traded Westbrook and misses a lot more games than needed. What that says about his character idk but just the feel I get when looking at his numbers

And we won a chip with that pairing because of how the rest of the lineup was constructed.

There are other cheap options. With the lineup put forth, we wouldn't need Vincent to do anything more than be a tenacious point of attack defender and hit some open 3s. I know you have a hate boner for Gabe. Sub in whoever you want there. Just make them a point of attack defender and someone that defenses will defend at the 3 pt line

Beal hasn't played more than 60 games in a regular season since 2018. If the move for Beal is made then you are basically banking on that being the move that tips the scales to win a title. Beal would also still have his NTC leverage so it's just very risky in my eyes.

Maybe Beal coming to Miami re-energizes him back into an elite efficient three level scorer that can stay healthy but that contract and the no-trade risks gives me pause.

Beal is considered one of the most diligent workers on his craft in the NBA. His offseason work regimen is literally a template for others to follow. He is all skill because he is always working on the little things.
