Let's be real here, if they're seriously considering extending Fred, they're not trading Siakam.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I expect we will have lively conversation tomorrow night.

What are the odds that Vred comes back, would you say?

I don't know who Vred is? I just don't want an leet back on the squad next season. Or ever.

Vred is red.

Yeah. I really like Murray but no way am I giving up our best player/trade asset for him.

It was only 3 years ago that Pascal shot 36% from 3. If we actually got him some help (shooting, depth, play making), I wonder what could become of us.

That said, I’m fine if we pivot younger and swap him for a stud on a 4 year rookie scale contract, with a a little more flexibility salary wise if we let Fred walk.

It is borderline impossible to trade a 37M player for a rookie on a 4-year deal. That team would need to take on a huge cap hit
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

Ok since you chimed in, I guess I need to expand. Lord

I’m fine if we make a trade, matching salary while bringing in a young high potential prospect on a rookie scale contract.

Although it doesn’t give us immediate cap flexibility, it will give us more cap flexibility, potentially, in the near term.

That better for you ?

I’m just saying it’s borderline impossible. Anyone with a rookie worth having is picking high and won’t want Siakam, and anyone who wants Siakam doesn’t have players worth trading for.

Not sure what with the hostility.

Yeah I'm not that interested in Murray. He's gonna want to be paid. I'd be more interested in this years pick, OO, Hunter and Griffin for example.

edit: not meaning all together. Any combination including what I wrote.

This was dead the day after the lottery.
Portland and everyone else would value #3 over Siakam. Masai thinks Siakam is worth more. So there is no deal that can be made.

JRoy and me been lock step from the start.

Another thread discussing the same things will simply pop in this threads place. One more day and it shall be closed. :D

Pretty strong chance that tomorrow Portland makes a trade that crushes Jroy soul. They value keeping Dame happy more than they do logic...

Some could argue Masai has same issue.

Blazers and Raptors choosing to do nothing and keep on their current aimless tracks would be very appropriate in the end.

I mean, it sounds like the reason that deal isn’t going to get done is because Pascal is not committing to re-signing with Portland.

Or blazers don’t think Siakam is worth trading the 3rd pick in the draft.

Sounds like a delusional team, they prefer 33yr old 50-game/yr Paul George over Pascal. Uncle might be running that organization.
