I’m happy I wasn’t the first person to have this thought cross their mind today. KMarsh would have been a much more fun ride had he stayed healthy.

Obviously the shot needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up but we saw it with Lonzo Ball, it can be done (sometimes). Even if he never becomes a great shooter guys he like an impact player overall and a hell of a transition partner for Giannis and (hopefully) Marjon. They’re basically doing with the Packers have done the last few years and getting guys with unteachable athleticism and physical traits and trying to develop the things they don’t do well.
I think what we all have to get used to is that our offensive strategy is going to change a lot going forward. This is likely going to be a heavy transition team and they’ve drafted and signed 2-ways accordingly. The days of four shooters and Giannis in the half court might get replaced, somewhat, by more PnR’s and baseline cuts. 3. #44 Sidy Cissoko or #36 Andre Jackson ...
There are too many similarities, but I think Cissoko is more NBA READY 25lbs more muscle and I think the Raptors once more got a better player with a worse pick.
Cissoko put up similar numbers on G-LEAGUE , he is 2 years younger with more muscle mass. I don't get it... need help

Defensively he'll remind you of DDV sometimes in how he anticipates the action. Offensively, I always thought DDV was an outstanding decision-maker on the secondary break. He has that in common with Jackson, but Jackson is also very dangerous pushing the ball. Donte never shot how we thought he should but he's still a much much better shooter than Jackson. Both smart, well coached players, Donte with better shooting and Andre with physical tools from the trampoline dimension.

I mean, DDV had a 42" vertical?

It's much harder to make a good pass when the D saggs off. Can't see him running the half court O.jimmybones wrote:The ability of teams to completely play off him at a comedic level due to lack of outside shot has to be somewhat mitigated when a guy is a good passer, high IQ decision maker/creator, elite athlete and finisher at the rim.
I don’t think it’s crazy at all to see a useful player with that make up even with the absence of a perimeter shot.
