What else is there for them to give?!
It’s already established the package is centered around Herro, Jovic and crappy picks.
There’s nothing else they’re withholding other than Bam which MIA obviously won’t part with.
They’ll extract all the picks and swaps out of miami that they possibly can. It’s a players league now. I have a hard time seeing Portland sending him anywhere else unless they get a godfather offer from some other team
Well the report from Woj was literally just that they weren't going to fold to that pressure and pursue a trade that makes sense for them, so we'll see.
As a small aside, I totally get why MIA likes Jamie Jaquez but I think they should've kept this potential trade in mind and selected Cam Whitmore instead (just like we should've imo but whatever not hating on Gradey). At least they could've better sold POR on Whitmore, Jovic etc as the center pieces and I think Cam would've held more perceived value if they thought the Heat liked him. But that's whatever now and obviously not my concern lol, I hope MIA flops.
It's just more so a broader take that I think neither MIA or PHI have the right trade package because their best young piece are guards which is what POR already has and is deciding to build around. If POR is true to their word, I'd be dealing with the Spurs if the rumours are true of any minor mutual interest. Personally if I were them, I'd also take an outside chance and see if OKC would be open to moving some of their plethora of picks and maybe Giddey or something. Dame/SGA/WIlliams/Chet (too bad they didn't take Lively)...., I question if they'll get the most out of JG with SGA, Williams and now even Cason all there (who would also develop behind Dame as he ages) I'd honestly think about that if I were Presti.
