This was years ago, and things may have changed after a few yrs in the program, but if still true today, there is a possibility that they view AB playing PG with Fultz as the SG. Given that Fultz said "F-it" and started jacking 3s the last few games, we'll see what translate.JoshuaPotter wrote:I'm not sure where to post this thought.
But what are the odds of Fultz entering this season deciding he wants to jack up 3pts while maintaining his 3pt average?
Is there a planet, where if Black dominates summer league that Fultz gets moved to SG and Black starts at PG? Yeah Harris is in limbo when this happens but maybe that isn't such a bad thing.
IMO, if the Magic play two point guards together, at least one of them needs to be an off-ball threat. That doesn’t need to be shooting; a good cutter would also get the job done. After all, if a defender is sagging off of Fultz and Fultz cuts to the basket, then Fultz will be open and in a good position to score. (The same logic applies to setting screens and standing in the dunker’s spot, but these two tactics haven’t been used by our team. Unless I missed something?)
I really like the idea of starting two point guards, because the alternative is picking and choosing between promising players. I wouldn’t do that unless it was clear there was no other choice.
