Pass.
POR needs to work toward contention at some point in the future. KAT won’t be a part of that.
JRoy one thing I've observed from you, is that you're remarkable at swatting away all trades, but unremarkable about suggesting any trades whatsoever... So let's hear it, specifically what are some reasonable & realistic deals for Dame taking into account the appeal for both/all teams involved, and please exclude the Raptors from your offers.
I swat away bad trades and it’s a full time job.
My demands for Lillard are not unrealistic and excluding TOR is a good idea because I don’t think it’s the right direction for TOR.
For example I don’t turn my nose up at Ben Simmons like most others do; he’s a substantial risk but a huge payoff if he buys in to his role on a young team. He might thrive in that role and allow Scoot to learn and grow in the meantime.
I’d want a load of picks, not just for Lillard but for assuming the risk that comes with taking his contract. BKN can keep their Dinwiddies and Joe Harrises.
I’d take Clowney and make them eat Nurk. Done.
I can't believe I'm going to say it, but that's actually a pretty good deal for both teams (depending on the pick package, but obviously picks would be required)...
Portland gets younger, with an opportunity/upside to increase Simmons all time low value. I think Simmons does need a complete reset to his career, and a rebuilding team away from the bright lights of NYC where there is no pressure or expectations is a perfect place for that to happen. Also, it allows him to use his greatest asset - passing, to setup his young teammates with more shots. On the flip side, it gets Brooklyn off Simmons contract and upgrade their shooting while attempting to contend immediately.
