The Champagnie disrespect is real haha. Half the shots in the vid are by him.
Side note, I know they're twins but man, it's crazy - the way Justin moves on the court and the way he looks is JUST like his twin, Julian.

As anybody that has played a decent amount of pickup knows, it's not that easy to run a coherent offense with a bunch of guys that have barely met. JD deserves some credit for doing that two seasons in a row even if he's been way too sloppy with the ball the last game.
4th in pace-adjusted assists per game for his one season as a very young guy in the g-league too.

intensity, guarding 1-5, rebounding, breaking down Ds in transition, this is what we need from him...
This is a perfect opportunity for his skillset.

Until he learns how to put the ball into the dang basket (shooting/finishing) none of it matters. Unless he becomes a real threat to score he can always be schemed
He is only 20.
Still time, but no real improvements yet

Yup. There's definitely some upside there. And I don't even think his shooting is *that* bad. I think he's a better shooter than the % indicates.
It's a good flier to take. Low risk, high reward pickup.

I’ll be happy if Banton can guard 1-2 or 2-3. Or heck, pick any single number. Doesn’t look like he’s built to bang with any 5s or heavier 4s.

He is 6'9 (my favorite feature) very willing defender, can rebound and take the ball the length of the court, has some PG vision

I’m looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team as well, I’m just not expecting it to include guarding 1 — 5.
Listed at 6’7” lots of places, including ESPN, which has him at 205 pounds https://www.espn.com/nba/player/_/id/4397885/dalano-banton
Go Banton! I’m ready to hop onboard the Bantonwagon!
