Not sure how exactly/if the money works on these. But a couple of JB trade ideas Iw as just kicking around..
Trade A
Celtics get Dame
Lakers get JB
Blazers get assets from Lakers (perhaps a package like Reaves + maybe Russell + maybe Vanderbilt + picks)
I can see the Lakers saying "let's go for 1 more shot at winning a ring with LeBron. They might like the idea of a LeBron/AD/JB trio. And JB will know that a) LA is a big market for his brand, where he can sell his clothes and stuff and b) when lebron retires (and AD will soon be washed) it will be HIS team
Trade B
Celtics get: Bogie and Hunter
Hawks get: JB
If Hawks get JB, they would have a big logjam at wing, with JB, Bogie, Hunter, Bey, Griffin. Plus you'll often times have Murray at the 2, when he's out there with Trae which means less mins for those wings. Which means they are cool with giving us Bogie and Hunter
Celtics do it if they feel like they won't be able to get a star back for JB (and they might not want to pay another star player tons of money with Porzingis here and JT's supermax coming next year) so they add 2 good role players. Hunter slots in to the starting lineup (Hunter and JB on the wings, we would overwhelm teams with our size/length) and Bogie off the bench as a really good bench scoring weapon. Rob or Al, Brogdon and Bogie. Now THAT's a bench !
Again, not sure how exactly/if the $ works on these. Other pieces/picks would probably have to be added..maybe to make the $ work we add Champagnie to 1 (or both) of the deals, and then the team getting Champagnie just waives him right after (they took him in the deal just so the $ would work). And that way, we're able to get *something* for Champagnie, rather than just waiving him ourselves and getting nothing..
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything
