Should the Hawks max him out then? Contract may be $60-70 million a year probably.
Not impossible but unlikely that the Hawks will have won titles by then.
Or even repeat their ECF run.
If the Hawks have gone to the Finals at least or made a couple more runs to the ECF, then it makes sense to keep that roster, with Trey being a key piece.
If they're in the same place they are now, either a play-in team or maybe a 5 or 6 seed, will the Hawks fans and owners support an expensive payroll or maybe look to rebuild?
