Don't think anyone is questioning that there was an offer or two at the deadline, it was well reported. But isn't the timing of the trade irrelevant if they ended up with the better prospect, regardless?
1. They didnt end up with a better player. Thybulle is better than Precious
2. Timing does matter as we coudlve gotten an expiring contract at the deadline instead of dead weight Dragic who we had to pay to get off of.
1. How so? Thybulle is solid defensively, but has zero offensive game, maybe the worst in the league. Precious can defend and has much higher offensive upside.
2. Dragic was on an expiring who they dealt with 2 months left on his contract. They traded him because a) he was disgruntled and b) they felt Thad would be an upgrade over him for the playoff run.
