Yeah i think so too. They probably have Torontos max offer. Trying to run it back to Miami in one last effort to appease Dame.

Or perhaps they are working to sort out this 3-4 team deal.

Or perhaps nothing is happening at all

It's been a rather quiet, nondiscript offseason until the Lillard rumours.

If that's the worst offseason in the NBA then not much has happened this offseason.

Any time you lose an all-star for nothing, while not replacing his production (or going in the other direction and bottoming out), you've had a **** offseason.

Paying VV 40 million wouldn't have made this a **** offseason.

Schroder is a solid value replacement at the MLE.

Of course paying FVV $40 million would have been dumb. The right move was to trade him before he became a FA. Letting an asset walk is always terrible asset management.

I don’t expect anything done until the end of the week. Thats when teams will give the Blazers their best offer.

Seriously lol. I always felt FVV was underrated and/or unfairly criticized (especially on this board) for his play and the role he was forced into as one of the only capable ball handlers and playmakers on the team the past few seasons, but he wasn't/isn't worth near the amount he was paid this off-season and we didn't even lose him for nothing in the grand scheme of things. If there are no other moves, we'd essentially have lost FVV + Barton + Banton for Schroder + McDaniels + Gradey + Temple. It's a downgrade in one area (FVV > Schroder), but it sorts out the depth issue (McDaniels + Gradey will surely provide more than Barton + Banton) and it opens up some more opportunities for Scottie (and OG and GTJ to a lesser extent). Hardly the worst offseason in the league.

You got to keep Precious to help replace OG's defense and minutes to some degree. Can't give up both Precious and Koloko. If you want to compete then trading Otto and Precious is too much for me.

I thought we were talking about this offseason? Unless I'm not reading it correctly, the poll wasn't who had the worst calendar year or trade deadline.

Anyways, trading him for the trash that was offered at the deadline wouldn't have made any meaningful difference to the present or the future of this team. They spent his money on a reasonably priced replacement (Schroder) and a young guy with potential (McDaniels). Hardly a disaster, unless you think VV will be a allstar this year and deserving of the contract he received.

Why isn't CHI more interested? They worried they might win more than 45 games with him? That team has a bunch of vets built to win right now.

take pascal and scottie off the table, the raps don't have anything to offer that's much better than what Miami could, so what am I missing?

Og > hero (especially considering Portland roster)
Dick > jaquez (based on draft pick #13 vs #18)

Out filler salaries are better than theirs. (Gtj, Boucher etc)
