(part 2)
What is ^^this supposed to be?
I watched most of it: the author criticizes the world at large for making assumptions about Kawhi while he........well, makes a lot of assumptions and speculative leaps all over the place, drawing "conclusions" where he cannot possibly have enough information to do so. He cherry-picks sound-bites to structure a very specific narrative that is very obviously motivated by a degree of bias and venom (even doing the
slooooowed speeeeech and other effects to demonize where necessary), while dismissing inconvenient statements out-of-hand. Also while drawing broad "conclusions" based hearsay, speculation, projection (unless he's a close personal confidant of Kawhi, which I don't believe is the case), or single vague instances (such as Kawhi's first technical foul in a Raptor's uniform).
Not to mention the video is four years old and very nearly reeking of four-year-old "told you so" sentiment which came on the heels of Toronto's '19 title (even
at the time such sentiment seemed dubious to me, and we've since had things occur which tarnish the narrative he went for at the time).
I mean, it's click-bait garbage.
So what was the point? Is this a joke? Was presented like actual journalistic expose? Is it trolling, and/or throwing a little gas on the fiery back-and-forth [pot-stirring] for funsies?
I'm not sure what I should be making of this, but given its potentially polarizing content, it doesn't seem like it was posted toward any good intent.
So Duncan is diminished or
less good/decent [no longer a "choir-boy"] as a team leader? Or as a human being in general?
And is it because he's divorced? Or because he might be bisexual? Or both?
I just want to clear about which demographic this is attacking.
Or does this come only from a place of petty human tendency to revel in the misfortune of others, particularly those who are on a pedestal of sorts?
As a moderator, how am I to view this?
