I mean, that's not entirely true. If he thought there was another option (different college/league) that'd be far better for his development than Duke, there'd be reason for him to choose that option because it could potentially earn him many more millions in the future. Is Scheyer the best coach for a young player's development? I don't think we have the answer to that question yet. Is Hurley at UConn better? Is the G-League or NBL better? These are questions Flagg should (and would) be weighing up.
FWIW, I think it's close to a lock he'll go to Duke, but if it was me personally, I'd be waiting to see a little more from Scheyer before making that decision.
