He’s solid!

That block on Kuminga was impressive. I'm with you though, if Curry has a great year this Warriors team feels like it will do damage again.

New York media are desperate. Mets and Yankees were massive disappointments, Giants and Jets suck, Brooklyn is rebuilding and the Knicks have that fake aura playing in crappy old MSG. If the Knicks team full of mediocre players (other than Brunson) that collected some teens or worse draft picks thanks to protections on them was out there craving a superstar nobody would pay them any attention, buts it’s NY so the fake stories and trades are all passing as news.

Lol Isnt Pompey a 76ers media guy?

I don't know why our fans hate Knicks really, I always like the TV commentators, and they seem like a fun team to root for. Not that it would happen, but imagine if Embiid won a ring with Knicks, it would be just insane.

Honestly I just take it as a Philly hates New Yorkers thing lol. I never really hated Philly teams growing up tho. A.i is the guy who got me into nba.

I honestly dont believe Embiid could win it all here. Unless if we get a 3rd star

But I doubt Philly trades former mvp to division rival. Doesn’t seem very likely to me

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I’d be ok with offensive rebounds resetting the shot clock to a full 24 again. I feel like that would do a lot to incentivize offensive rebounding & reintroduce some physicality to the game.

Suns scares me though. Their firepower is legit. I think of that team as a KD centric version of the Warriors where Booker and Beal are poor man’s version of Steph and Klay. Nurkic is hell of a screener and can make you pay if you switch that screen, and if you dont switch the screen, Booker KD and Beal can make you pay. But I think the best way to defend it is to trap the ball handler or switch it then send double teams force them to swing it to guys like Okogie or Grayson Allen and make them win it for them.

Defensively, KD with Nurkic or Eubanks is basically a double big line-up, which Vogel likes to use.

I dont think Bolbol is playable. He’s today’s version of Javale McGee. Fun to watch but not a winning player.

Damn, Cam can score. He should probably get more than 25 minutes, right? Wonder what's holding them back?

Not being drafted high in the lottery and/or a big contract.

RJ Barrett is averaging 33mpg on 52TS%, negative player on both ends as per advanced stats.

I imagine Maxey should have had a similar issue. It’s not like Cam hasn’t had big scoring games.

My guess is, he doesn’t play within the offense and still doesn’t play defense. 6th man is probably the right spot for him.

Its not often for guys drafted in the 20s to be given that much opportunity. I also imagine Cam Thomas to be our starting guard and averaging 20+ppg if we had drafted him over Maxey. Sure he’s bad on defense, but we had Harden or JJ and we’re OK. Some of us here even considers adding Zach Lavine. Defense for guards isnt that valuable compared to offense, the opposite is for bigs. Offense is OP.

Nets has a lot of problem. From the lack of scoring to starting guards who can’t score and shoot (dinwiddie and Ben), which is unforgivable in today’s basketball. They are also riding on the shoulders of an inflated scorer in Mikal Bridges who’s better off as a 2nd or 3rd option.

I do understand your concern its just fun to follow Cam’s rise

Bulls already having a players only meeting after one game lmao

Looks like a Derozan trade opportunity could happen sooner rather than later.

Cam Thomas has a career AST% of 11.1% and a TO% of 9.7%. There’s just no way a player his size & with his defensive shortcomings can be a difference maker with a total lack of playmaking ability.

And he took a horrendous last shot. Step back fading three from like 30ft away.

all he does is score touc- er baskets

but it comes out of the flow of "normal" basketball and he often gives it up on the other end...so while it is impressive, it doesn't lead to winning as his teammates are out of rhythm and the other team can get it right back.

I mean he had 2 assists with a ridiculous 45% USG.

To put things in perspective, that's a bigger usage than what Luka posted yesterday (37%) and Luka had a 30+ points triple-double.

Cam is not an NBA starter-caliber player until he plays within an offense.

The Bulls are ripe for a Harden trade.

The Bulls are just going to fire their coach.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
