No, that's BS. The game is still slower than it was in the 80s and earlier, so raw tempo isn't an issue compared to back when guys were routinely asked to play 40+ mpg.

Sure, but that was a comparatively brief blip in time compared to the like half-century before that. Mid-90s and back, the pace was comparable or faster to what it is now. There was a solid decade where some teams were averaging like 120 possessions per game, and 100-110 was quite common even in the 80s.
I think he was a very good iso scorer last year. Pretty good post player. I wouldn't take too much of those away from him. The other guys need to get better, so that teams can't stack up against him as quickly.
Those were decent possessions for him, as I've discussed multiple times. But his overall efficiency is pretty bad, and maintaining high-volume isos isn't really going to help that. So we need to replace SOME of his possessions with better off-ball stuff. Doing that by way of Scottie seems a sensible thing.

Yes, what I was saying is that he's not Doncic and we shouldn't use him that way. He's a great twitch athlete that can get a lot of advantages on the move and receiving the ball in motion.
Yeah, I'm with you on that.
Back to Siakam. When all your nice ball movement leads to nothing Siakam will get the ball and have his opportunities to Iso there (when the flow of the offense is countered by the D).
And that makes sense, circling back to ATL's remark, because Siakam was one of the better iso players in the league last year.
