Man it makes looking back at those years pretty tough, fair play to all of us who sat through it!

Sadly with work this year (and time zones in New Zealand) going to have to watch more games delayed than I'd like.

Tell me about it! Makes it harder to justify LP when only really have evenings to try catchup on games. Working from home is a trick on game days though! Between Magic and Arsenal games though ill never be in the office!

- Rockets are definitely winning this game
- Rockets will have a winning season of 42 wins or more
- Jabari had a better rookie season than Paolo Banchero (okay that was just one guy I think, but :o )

They actually thought they’d instantaneously be better. Adding FVV and Brooks will but they aren’t turning that team around THAT much. I also think Green is way overrated.

Where is this GT of the rockets?I didnt know they have an active Realgm board

Thanks! Just read the last 3 pages. Was fun. That said they seem as a whole pretty reasonable in their dissection of what that team is doing wrong.

EDIT: Actually I read some more, I think I might need to take that back. Some posters there are reasonable, some sit at the total other end of the scale.

I kinda read a few pages and they really thought Brooks was the reason Franz and Paolo didnt go off? I mean i got the feeling they were blaming Jabari's defense and that Brooks had to switch who he is guardingg to slow him down.

Give me a team that loves playing together this much over any roster of perfectly fitting superstars! This stage of their growth is more fun and interesting than being a contending team fighting for inches, to me. (But I look forward to that day too.)

That Black block was a moment. Suggs was up off the bench and beaming with pride, then Fultz and Cole, and everyone else. I think this is a team that maybe has struck the perfect balance between being competitive and development. This team has spirit and spirit becomes culture!

Things will change, but for this season, we could be watching a Cinderella story.

We shouldn't forget the fighting spirit was already there last year. All of us were shocked when the team didn't roll over and die like they had in prior seasons. They lost games but played hard not to get blown out.

Now the same spirit is combined with real talent and player development. That equation won't win a championship but it might produce a surprisingly successful season, especially in a league recently where some teams and players struggle to motivate themselves to play the game.

We'll see what happens. Of course winning produces good vibes, and losing will expose real weaknesses on the team that haven't gone away. My approach is a readiness to be pleasantly surprised.

That's a really good reminder. This team had and has a never say die mentality.

Every team has now played game-1, and Orlando is currently i) the best team in the NBA given point differential of +30 and ii) the best defensive team.

GO MAGIC!

The Magic is already the 25th worst three point shooting team. Not sure that will change.
