Ho-li-dayyy

I know there’s this idea that Holiday is a Dame stopper, but Dame’s averaged 25 ppg against Holiday.

It’s not just an idea. Dame has historically done pretty poorly against Jrue. Spotlighted by his performance in the 2018 POs. I don’t know if 25ppg is accurate but it’s worth looking at the splits.

Good to see the competitive spirit awaken.

He always had that the difference is he hasn't played with another all-star since LMA left. Despite that he dragged a pretty damn meh roster all things considered to the WCF.

Just because people tend to over look that post season. Dame sucked against Denver that series. CJ basically won that series for us.
I’m a bit tired of how people remember history and how some of these mythologies come to be. Dame was really great in that OKC series but he struggled in the Denver series.

Again his stats are not that bad in the series they just were nowhere close to the OKC series.

Vogel pulling this out of his hat against the Lakers would be amazing. Lol

I’m glad I’m too old to know who that was in the front row wearing the spacesuit.

Holiday is an all-time perimeter defender, but that Pelicans series had more to do with Dame than Jrue. Go look at the numbers. It was Dame but not Dame. Watching it at the time, I said, "In this series, Dame is playing like an MK Ultra subject who's had his programming turned off." He looked like a completely different person. Mindboggingly passive.

It was several things, Dame really struggled to counter, Stotts struggled to adjust, CJ was got shutdown. That team did not play a team oriented style offense, nor did it have a quality roster to do so. So the focal point became Dame and CJ and Dame trying to create individual offense or two man with Nurk. But Jrue, Rondo and AD absolutely crushed any chance we could do anything. Rondo tore up our defense and made both Dame and CJ look like fools. The “passivity” was Dame and the team not having a solution.

Rui getting paid 17 million to play 5 minutes a half

Less than Wood, Hayes and Reddish, all on minimum contracts

It's only been 1 and a half game but hopefully Rui is not one of those contract year guy.

But stats don’t paint the whole picture. I don’t remember exactly how things went but what I do remember was when it mattered, he struggled. It wasn’t like the Pelicans series the year before but he just did not have the same mojo he had in the OKC series.

Reddish has been a bummer everywhere he's been. Don't know how his agent convinced the Lakers to sign him. Aren't the Lakers trying to win championships?

Cam’s agent is a car salesman. But this might be the last stop he has to convince teams he can play. Pelinka bought into the bargain bin contract tactic.

Honestly, what is with these rotations? The Lakers had a pretty good rotation going last season.

All Ham has to do is plug the holes with the new guys, not reinvent the wheel.

If I was a coach and saw my player constantly parting his hair and moving it around his ears during play I’d bench him till he shaved it or got a hair tie.

Call it nitpicking but if I pass you the ball and you have a chance of fumbling it because you were brushing your hair, you haven’t got your priorities right.

I said it in the World Cup with Giddey (who nearly missed a pass on an inbound because he had both hands pushing his hair behind his ears) and can see the same thing with Reeves.

It’s just not worth the risk, cut your damn hair.

Same **** different yr with the Lakers.

Rid yourselves of AD get what you can like KAT and assets or out East for I don't know DeMar Vuc picks? LA would be better off without him and just damn near starting over while letting LeBron ride it out or figure it out.
