Maxey made some very tough shots tonight. If that’s legitimate and something he’ll do nightly, then he’s an all-NBA player and I’ll happily start eating crow regarding my early evaluations of him all the way up to last year where I thought he’d be a nice combo guard but not much else.

I will never forget the pushback I got last year for suggesting Maxey could reach the same level as Jamal Murray.

To be fair Maxey being even a good player has meant him making very difficult shots. It was his runners and floaters initially, then the finishes across his body or while bending backwards, then the 34 foot step backs etc. People like us have gotten to see him take and make those shots over and over again for years now, so we have a certain level of belief (which is probably my favorite thing as a Sixers fan rn by the way). But it’s still hard for people who haven’t seen as much to have faith that someone could thrive almost exclusively off of shots that are more difficult than like 85% of average nba shots.

I think he's better than Murray. Murray is great in the playoffs, but kind of mid in the regular season. Maxey has already shown some panache in the playoffs, I'm confident that will come.

Two great games doesn’t suddenly vault Maxey over Murray lol. Maxey has to show he can do what Murray does, which is be a legit #2 on a team that wins a championship. Maxey has struggled in crucial playoff series.
always a jump shot away.

The Raptors are not trading Barnes, you have nothing they would want and Harden is not bringing back enough. Siakam could be available but not Barnes

In the words of Pat Bev, Scottie Barnes is “swagged too high for not done a lot.”

Yet your fans want him for Harden, Masai would not include him in a deal for with KD last season and Lillard this year. Only his 3rd season and reason he has not done a lot was Nurse let Fred and Pascal take turns jacking 25 plus shots a night and no one else ate.

Who are you even taking about? Why are you attacking us right now? We love you, and we care deeply about you and your feelings. Can I buy you a Snickers?

You replied to a post dreaming up a Siakim/Harden trade & said “the Raptors are not trading Barnes.” You are literally the only person talking about trading Barnes.

Get a grip, my man lol

Obviously we'd take him for Harden.

As for the other part, who cares what Masai wouldn't do? He's turned into the new Ainge in terms of not getting deals done because he overvalues his own guys. Which led to FVV walking for nothing. We'll see if the same happens with Siakam or OG. Stealing Kawhi really threw off his trade value gauge.

Just biding our time until summer when OG Anunoby opts out and becomes unrestricted. Then Morey pounces with that capspace.

Imagine a PF next to Embiid who is athletic, powerful, defensively dominant, and can shoot!

Not sure if anyone told you this but OG cannot stand Nurse and Raptors can include a 5th year. Siakam is available and he loves Nurse

May I ask about Siakam’s defense? How is his rebound, rim protection and defending centers and guards?
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

What would not 'wasting' it look like for you? Something like getting Norm Powell for Harden?

Honestly, whenever I see someone post this "waste a year", I wonder, what the posters plan for the season would be. The first move we have to make is a Harden trade. A bunch of expiring contracts and FRPs in 2028 isn't a "win-now" move.

Chicago looks like their ready to implode. A possible DDR for Harden move could a good move for Philly. Not sure Chicago would do it. But that is the type of player and contract that would make sense for Philly.

We know. They've told us. Their plan is to accept the Clipper's current offer. It's more important that they get instant relief than it is to get the best deal possible.

Pompey says Embiid is listed as Questionable for REST. For the home opener. Completely unacceptable if true.
