For what it’s worth, I haven’t Maxey was off the table but rather Masai was asking for Maxey, Thybulle and. First round pick for Lowry and the 76ers were like **** off.

Maxey was a rookie guard that was picked in the 20’s playing 15 minutes. I don’t believe for a second that Philly would have made him untouchable given the make up of the team. He has to fight for minutes behind Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Thybulle, Danny Green, Shake Milton and Korkmaz. I believe that Masai definitely could have gotten one of Thybulle, Maxey or a first for Lowry but he overplayed his hand yet again asking for too much. These are the types of gambles you should take when trading Allstars on expiring contracts and in this case it would have paid off massively if they got Maxey.
