No meters?

The meter thing never happened.

It was approved in March but never implemented? That's sweet.

The policy, unanimously adopted by the Common Council Tuesday, March 1, extends parking meters to 9 p.m. and requires the meters to be plugged on Saturday. Time restrictions will end at 4 p.m., avoiding the need to move a vehicle every two hours, but still requiring a meter to be plugged. The policy does not have a specific enactment date.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Right. The meters expired at 6 so there was no problem. Extending them to 9 would be a problem. Interesting they passed it but haven't made the change yet.

No email for me either but i see it as well in my account. It won't let me add anymore QTY than 1 right now. But i think its showing 4970 spots still available not 30 left.

I also noticed my "benefits" changed from "sixth man" to "starter" I thought it should have been starter the whole time so i think the bucks messed something up there (doesnt surprise me)

I could only do 1 too. I assume that means Im responding for myself and can come with 3 guests at the door. I should probably clarify that though before driving down, haha!

I would confirm with a rep on that for sure. I am going to do the same. It's good to get everything in writing with the Bucks staff so you have proof. Like the tip off party...the first email said you DID not need to RSVP then one that came later on in the week said you needed to. Lots of mixed signals

Did need to RSVP all. I went back in and was able to RSVP more people so I have 4 codes in my app.

Has anybody attended this in the past? I would assume parking ramp is open and they’ll have some concession stands open for grub/drinks. I did not see anything about complimentary items unless I missed it.

EDIT: Email received. Complimentary soda/water per guest and 2 popcorns per group. Movie snacks and bar drinks available for purchase.

Depends on priorities. If it is a nice night I usually park north-east of Juneau on water or an adjacent street. Its a 20 minute walk but I find it easy mentally. Not as frustrating finding a spot as it is on the west or east side. You are almost guaranteed a spot over there if you keep going. Leaving the game the walk is nice and way better than being frustrated waiting an hour in a parking structure. Usually is relatively safe considering all the activity on water/well-lit.

I don’t like structures either, but thinking it may be the best option tomorrow for the STH event since only will be like 1/4 capacity at most. I assume the 5th Street structure is open on non-game/event nights? Any idea prices on off times?

Otherwise think I’ll see if any street parking on Juneau NW of the stadium. Only a few blocks from arena, usually enough foot traffic to feel safe, and easy route back to 43. But can be tough to find spots.

Bucks have a small early entry happy hour to the Portland game in the Poto club. At first I read it at Poto Casino, and was ready to throw my phone when it said "one drink voucher". Like WTF you are making me drive to the casino to get a free drink on a game day. lol

Anyways, small nice little appreciative perk that probably doesnt cost them much but makes the STH feel connected. They probably make money since you are there an hour earlier and already greased the wheels for buying drinks.

Agreed. Like little things like this even though can’t attend this particular game. Overall I been happy this year with the benefits and mainly having a few weeks notice on things. I’m going to check out the holiday/movie event tonight with the family, hopefully will be worth the drive.

I usually park at 6th and wells since it's easy access back onto the freeway. Am I missing any free or cheaper parkering near that location?

Props to the bucks on a decent holiday movie night. Wasn't anything special but cool bringing the kid into the arena to wander around on a Friday night.

Side observation: maybe I'm a cheap bastard but shocked how many people where buying stadium prices for beer and cocktails. Like I don't need a $13 miller lite while watching my kid decorate a cookie.

Side observation 2: how the f did they design the floor level club bar with zero tvs for the game. Lines were pretty long to get a drink and had to awkwardly look at the back wall to catch glimpse of the game

I would agree. We had an open night so brought the family down and overall everyone had a good time. The movie was good and it was pretty intimate experience at the arena. Definitely cool to wander around, including the BMO area. It was nice getting complimentary water/soda/popcorn (albeit lines were long for water/soda) and then a gift bag on the way out.

I was slightly underwhelmed by the pre-movie stuff. Just a couple stands of games around the arena. The cookie decorating was probably the best, or the connect 4 shooting thing. But it is what it is.

The Air Bangos were genuinely awful. Everyone around us thought it was some spoof or something. Considering they specifically noted they were going to be performing it was a cringeworthy to be honest. I usually enjoy them at the games but they did like nothing during the medley of songs, awkwardly fell over once, and after maybe 3 minutes a worker laughingly escorted them out. It was really odd. I would have much preferred if they just put the Bucks/Hornets game on the jumbotron.

The movie was a cool experience though. I dont know if I would drive almost 2 hours next year for it, but if near Milwaukee its a nice Friday night family event on a cold night.

I've only been in 9-10 arenas but United Center is a dump.

I'd like to go to a game at MSG.

Now I don't know anymore and 10 minutes of searching and even the city web page isn't of much help. I remember they passed them, then it got held up in court, and then never heard of them again with the state funding stuff that passed over the summer. So now I really don't know. One thing I did see about the initial proposal in March was that they'd allow plugging without moving. Honestly if I could plug the meter for 2 hours through the app while at the game (you get a crazy amount of notifications) it wouldn't irk me much.

Crazy to think UC is almost 30 years old. I went to a Blackhawks game last year and the new atrium area was nice as well as that Sportsbook area. But it feel like such a big building and yes some of the concessions, bathrooms etc seem older.

Fiserv is a nice venue. I have sat in both upper and lower level, have not really found a bad seat. Concourses spacious enough, its always clean, excellent city views, etc. my biggest complaint is bathrooms. Mens lines are always long during timeouts, halftime, etc. You have to leave during game action to be in and out faster. Food options are meh. Its a dead horse but I liked the food at the BC more. Overall a very nice arena though.

Stadiums are like airports. No matter what the food and drinks are going to be mediocre and overpriced. Yeah some might be better than another but I'm not choosing a bad connection/bad game because one stadium or airport is better than another. It's really immaterial once you are in the seat.

I mean, sure, but we aren't talking about making choices to go to a different stadium. I will make alternative choices when things are as bad as they are at Milwaukee stadiums right now.

I don't eat at Miller park, ever. I used to 4-5 times a season. I don't buy beers at Fiserv, I used to be good for 2-3 a game.

Food at AmFam is better than FiServ. Still not that great though. I only eat at games as a last resort, sometimes I simply don't have time beforehand so I eat at games. Not all the food is bad although all of it is overpriced. At least there is decent beer selection( yes overprices) now at Bucks and Brewers games. Used to be either Miller or Bud products and that's it. Glad that exclusivity is gone.

Yeah, the atrium is like a smaller version of what they did at Lambeau. Team store, offices I think, can host events, etc. the famous Jordan statue is actually inside it now, was built on east side.

The Fanduel area is cool. 2 levels of cushioned chairs, high top and long bar, tons of TVs, etc. it was busy but would be a good option at the Fiserv or Deer District once/if sports betting is legal.

Sports betting is legal in WI. But only through the tribes. And all betting has to be done on casino property. Oneida in Green Bay has an app you can use on property, even in the parking lot. Poto has no app. Hopefully they get one. You now have to go to a betting window or use one of the kiosks in the casino. Their big sportsbook is still under construction, not suppose to open until next year sometime.

I would think the Bucks and Brewers would be all over having an onsite sportsbook if it was possible.
