Side observation: maybe I'm a cheap bastard but shocked how many people where buying stadium prices for beer and cocktails. Like I don't need a $13 miller lite while watching my kid decorate a cookie.
Side observation 2: how the f did they design the floor level club bar with zero tvs for the game. Lines were pretty long to get a drink and had to awkwardly look at the back wall to catch glimpse of the game
I would agree. We had an open night so brought the family down and overall everyone had a good time. The movie was good and it was pretty intimate experience at the arena. Definitely cool to wander around, including the BMO area. It was nice getting complimentary water/soda/popcorn (albeit lines were long for water/soda) and then a gift bag on the way out.
I was slightly underwhelmed by the pre-movie stuff. Just a couple stands of games around the arena. The cookie decorating was probably the best, or the connect 4 shooting thing. But it is what it is.
The Air Bangos were genuinely awful. Everyone around us thought it was some spoof or something. Considering they specifically noted they were going to be performing it was a cringeworthy to be honest. I usually enjoy them at the games but they did like nothing during the medley of songs, awkwardly fell over once, and after maybe 3 minutes a worker laughingly escorted them out. It was really odd. I would have much preferred if they just put the Bucks/Hornets game on the jumbotron.
The movie was a cool experience though. I dont know if I would drive almost 2 hours next year for it, but if near Milwaukee its a nice Friday night family event on a cold night.
