The In-Season Tournament literally means nothing. There's nothing at stake other than some extra cash for the players and coaches.

It shouldn't be prioritized at all until the NBA creates some actual stakes.
Respectfully, think about it, playoffs mean something because of compensation and prestige. They matter because we believe they matter. The in-season tournament is working with the same raw material. Saying it doesn't matter is short-sighted and misses the point of why playoffs matter in the first place.

You're very off base on this.

The playoffs are a path to winning the actual championship of the league.

The NBA took four otherwise meaningless regular season games for every team and turned them into a fake tournament that means nothing.

Now if they add actual stakes of some kind - like the the winning team gets an automatic playoff spot or an extra lottery pick or something, then sure.

But right now there's nothing on the line, so no one should care.

You make my point for me. You can't counter the point without begging the question.

Ain't no way we're winning this game. Bulls have playoff experience so they understand the intensity level needed and we're not beating them twice. I'm just going to go ahead and enjoy and hope someone on this team have a big game. Go Magic!!!

*Sigh*

Until the stakes change, you're going to see a lot of teams treat the in-season tournament for exactly what it is, which is nothing

On a different note, I'm very interested to see where and how Suggs' usage gets soaked up.

Will Black actually try and be aggressive offensively throughout the game?

The only thing, other than hoping Jett gets burn, that I'm wanting to see.

it’s already hard to beat a team twice in a row in their own court… add the Suggs injury and there’s no reason to be optimistic.
Either way, LETS GO MAGIC

Just control the boards, limit turnovers and keep the pace up frequently. We do that, we can beat them without issue. The Bulls are not world beaters to the point of conceding defeat already. End of the day though, just want to see this young squad continue to improve and grow.

Nope I'm with you. Just two days ago we were writing the eulogy of the Bulls all over the game thread...

Damnit, I'm already really tired now. I was planning to watch this one, but I might just have to catch up on some sleep just as the game is starting. At least I wouldn't have to deal with that fugly red court then (until I'm watching the highlights).

Black passing it to Paolo hurts less than Cole, passing it to Lavine.

I take that back. Cole doesn't pass it. He does a one-handed fling.
