Content with third baseman Aramis Ramirez -- and not in the mood for setting more offseason spending records -- the Cubs don't expect to be a player in the A-Rod sweepstakes.

Nobodys is going to able to afford A-Rod for 43 million dollars a year or what ever I just heard he wanted. Even at 30 million there are only 5 or less teams that can afford him.

No teams have really gone out and said that they really want A-Rod. The new owners will likely fire Hendry if he can't add A-rod or doesn't even try. If we let Kendall, Blanco, Floyd, Trachsel, Glendon Rusch go, how much money would that be? A-Rod is probably going to have to lower the amount of money he wants if he wants to be on a team next spring.
