Nembhard is too turnoverprone and in bad form and TJ's lack of a threepointshot will make him unplayable in crunchtime against good teams. Bruce is also one of our best defenders and will allways contribute, even when his shot isn't falling. It also would be a bad look to trade one of the best free agents we ever got (yeah, sad enough), half a year after he signed his contract. He's a pro so I don't know how pissed he would be, but I can't believe we trade him. Would be really sad to see him leave even if Siakam is really good. Don't really care about the 1sts but giving away Bruce for a potential rental - I hope not.
Markannen is a pipedream. Don't think he is even on the market. Utah would be foolish to trade him for anything like an allready established young guy and I don't even know who that would be. They are on a run and have no reason to trade him.
not a Pacers fan myself but I agree with everything u said
it's a really bad look to trade Brown.
he was specifically enticed from a championship team in which he was by all accounts very happy with the situation. obviously he got handsomely compensated for that (as Denver could only offer him so much)
but still, to go around 6 months later in which he's been great for Indy and a part in their success and what they're building..a guy with finals experience on a young team which lacks experience in general
seems very strange, and all that for Siakam of all people?
I think Siakam is a good player and will make the team better but he's not some superstar where u say ok Brucie, srry we love ya but..
I think this narrative about Brown is BS personally. In this instance a 1+1 deal with a team option is exactly what it is, a very team friendly deal that allows for maximum flexibility in trades or potential free agency. I assume him and his agent aren’t stupid. Brown took the most money, this was the only way he was getting $20 million a year and he took it. I think it’s absurd to portray using his contract in a trade as some sort of betrayal. This is what he signed up for.
