He's 23. He's gonna be inconsistent and it should have been expected and accepted for one of the teams YOUNGEST players in the rotation all these years. It was an joke the way he was talked about around here. He's still 2-3 years younger than Julius was when he broke out. Double standard, agenda driven, trolling BS derailed every thread on here for 4+ years. No accountability.
Yea, he still has a few years before he even hits his prime. Lots of players such as Brunson and Randle have made leaps after 23. I think he'll get better. But can acknowledge there have been rough stretches
Nothing wrong with acknowledging his rough stretches. Almost all of his supporters have. It's not like the majority of the board was ever delusional over his production. The haters just lied and exaggerated everything while trolling the board for years.
and the 'RJ is bad deniers' looked at stark, clear, top 10 worst in the NBA metrics over 4 years, on massive massive usage that outstripped the leash given to hardly any other young player and called us haters.
We hated that the 3rd pick was a bad player. We hated that we were on a road to nowhere (and still mostly are) with R_ and Ran_le. Nobody hates RJ as a person yet his staunchest defenders despite him being Westbrook level awful constantly injected emotion into it. I'd argue RJ seems like as good a young player as you can ask for in terms of model citizen, great family, willing to work. That why he's so depressing on the court, all those positives translated into a guy who when compared against an average forward was wretched at basketball.
