I agree with KOC here. This is the draft you find either your 3rd star or fill out key roles within your team to build around you main guy.
I wouldn't concede that just yet...
If we're talking about American born or at least competing in North America, ok maybe right now no one stands out as having potential to be a 1st or 2nd option but I don't just assume that about the international top prospects ie/ Tidjane, Zach R & even Sarr, again just yet.
Might sound funny to be adding Sarr's name when he is being slotted as the 1st overall pick on some draft boards now but I think the reality is going into this draft I honestly don't think many of the so called "analysts" were quite "in the know" about a lot of the international players and I think that's common. There's always some catching up to do ie/ teams heard Sengun was good but there still was some doubt, Bilal was slotted as a late 1st to 2nd rd majority of the year then skyrockets to top 7, heck all of Europe was screaming Luka's next & most of American media was like "I'm not sure I'd take him over Ayton" lol (no disrespect to DA because he was a good prospect), with Wemby everybody "heard" the hype but if people are being honest they didn't buy it until he came here for everyone to see him takeover Scoot & North America lol.
So I think those guys MAY suffer from some of that...I'm not saying any of them are Luka or Wemby lol but would it surprise me if they're suffering from some of the stuff Sengun did?! Nope because most of these people making these mock drafts probably very rarely go to Europe or watch these leagues to really know. So takes time to get more information on these guys, they still deal with some "stigma" of not playing in the "best" leagues or don't know how to judge them especially when some of the teams these young guys join have grown men on them that are still trying to win in those leagues & aren't as concerned with "featuring" those players as probably most college teams are. So it is tough to point fingers and blame for not knowing. I'm just saying we'll see as we get closer to the draft what's being said about guys like Tidj, Zach and Sarr (heck Big Z just got going and people were kinda shocked if we're honest) so I just say "it remains to be seen" but from the little footage that's starting to come in, I'm not so sure there these guys might be better than that.
