How long do you play the long game?
Should Orlando keep shelling out large portions of cap space to guys that can’t get on the floor?
7 years and counting, menaged to get 5 playoff games off him ( 6 ppg, 27% FG) ,as defensive specialist kept Kawhi & SIakam on cumulative 60 ppg /60% TS

Guy is f*** 26 years old and you telling me he can't play second night of 20 min jogging more than f**** 6 +2 min?
Like, it's nba game, every 10 seconds you have stop that lasts for 2 min, 15 min half time, 48 game is streached to 150 min of real time.
Kawhi was 1-13 guarded by Isaac 1 on 1. There was a Tweet after the series about it. He just doesnt defended him much because Gordon was the main defender & logically Toronto tried to switch Kawhi against worse defenders.
Despite being a big fan of him as a player (opposite for his offside stuff) i was against resigning him because of his injuries, but to doubt his defense or impact when healthy is pretty silly. He is probably still the best defender or at least top 3 in the word ''when'' he plays.

That's a whole point . He and Gordon defended Siakam and Kawhi.
Kawhi finished series with 28,6 ppg on 56% FG and 54% for 3
Siakam finished series with 22,6 ppg on 53%FG and 36% for 3
Kawhi finished series on mindblowing 68% TS, Siakam on 60%
So their individual excellence on defense still made no impact on a series because elite players will always get things done. especially when player(s) who are tasked to defend them are apsolutley incapable of provide anything on other side, and serve as statues.
Toronto tried to switch Kawhi against worse defenders.
That execlly was my point about Suggs and defense 2 days ago, great teams will just exploit your offensive weaknesses by forcing multiple switches. That's why defense can't be only trick your team has in sleeve in playoffs. Difference being, Suggs at least has offensive "trick" ,as shooter.
Isaac's problem was, and still is, apart from aveliability, complete lack of offensive game. That includes very limited passing ability as he serves as play- finisher, because he won't or can't pass and advance offensive set. It's okey if you are elite finisher. Isaac simply isn't. Right now he doesn't even attemp any shots that aren't point blank shots or catch & shoot 3s. Virtually everything between bricking catch& shoots and finishing around rim doesn't exist for him.
How to explain that actual nba player attemped only 9 shots so far, midway through a season that weren't 3s and weren't inside 10 feet and has 12 assists total in league where you get credit for assist if you just pass ball and your teammate does 25 dribbles and makes layup , 40 feet away from your pass ?

To me Isaac is urban myth.

people overhype what he does and completley ignore what he doesn't do in favor of being glorified "Scottie Pippen if Pippen was trapped in broken body and had offensive game of Tony Allen- for 12 min" role.
Without any injury, he already missed 18 games, he averages 14 min a game, still is highest payed player, still basically doesn't play back to backs. Why ? Because he had ACL tear 4 years ago?
Imagine if Murray from Nuggets still plays 25 games a year. Would Nuggets ever actually won that ring?
