I wonder if we can retain him for next season. We can only pay him around 16M I guess...
In Brock and Leon we trust. Hope they figure out a way.

Off the way that he is playing, you have every reason to accept him as being legit. I was a skeptic of the signing but you can't argue with results (unless one is a complete idiot).
He's playing like a third star. He's playing as well as any of the suspects we're supposed to attempt to trade for.

That's 4 guards and a PF/C type.
Dinosaur Thibs plays a lot of 3 and 4 guard lineups.
I mean, it helps that the FO hasn't supplied nearly any backup wings with size but still
Ball movement overcomes size, i.e. Speed Kills
Plus, our smaller guys have physically imposed their will on bigger teams. That a mindset
IHart is CAA. I think we'll be fine.Deeeez Knicks wrote:Richard4444 wrote:3toheadmelo wrote:A lot of praise for our starting C

Wonder if they can work out a one year deal to get bird rights and then a big extension after? Or something like that...

I've always liked the IHart/Mitch rotation. Probably the best (or 2nd best) center rotation in the league. Hartenstein isn't the most durable and the same for Mitch so they can each play about 24 minutes per game and we're set at center, more or less depending on the team and which player is more effective.
Just thinking it through, I can't think of another team that will have 18M+ in cap, wants to spend it on a C, and is a more attractive situation than the Knicks right now.Jeff Van Gully wrote:Deeeez Knicks wrote:GONYK wrote:IHart is CAA. I think we'll be fine.

that's not allowed. he'd have to wait until the following offseason for the extension.

The BBGods have been trying to punish the positivity with injuries and it still hasn't stopped it...the next step is coming after our personal lives, the menthols, the oreos, the bourbon, the pickleballs, the drugs....dammit we have to stop or it will be pure chaos.
