Pretty sure we got bounced out the playoffs last couple years because of piss poor defense, now our backcourt is exponentially worse and while still having Lopez & Khris who get cooked in a lot of match ups in addition to Dame & Beasley who are pure rat ass all the time. Anybody thinking the team is better off this year is basing it on pure wishful thinking, no team can win like this in the playoffs.
Last season, the Bucks were third or fourth in defense and 15th in offense.
The move for Dame was made because of the perceived need for offense. The Bucks had few shooters the last few seasons. Allen was a very good shooter, but at low volume (like Beasley) because he needed space. KM was hurt.
So Horst was willing to give up defense for offense. You have to give something to get something. Boston has a ton of shooters, so Jrue was needed. Now Boston has both.
Ironically, in 21-22, the Bucks had one of the best offenses in the league, but a bad defense (Lopez was out all year and Bud continued to play the drop defense with no rim protection).
