Seems like this would’ve been best waiting until the trade deadline in case it could’ve helped another deal get done? I doubt Memphis traded for Oladipo to play him. Just, feeling like that Windy meme right now….
The tax reason makes complete sense as a trade motivation, but timing wise? Not as much. Would mean the same if traded today as traded on deadline day, no? And tying that into whatever other trade Memphis might want to make for those reasons would likely be better for salary matching reasons, right?
