For a pick with the upside of 7 in a bad draft? No thanks. I do like the Ivey idea, though, but San Antonio owes value.
That pick could land you Sasser not Ivey.

Would there be any takers? I feel like the Raptors pick has pretty good value considering the unlikelihood of Toronto being top-six three years in a row combined with the likelihood of them not being a great team for the next couple of years.

A top 10 pick is worth more than Sasser. I proposed the 2024 Toronto pick and the 2025 Chicago pick for Ivey (both are lightly protected). I think that's about right in giving Detroit two bites and getting San Antonio a clear fit with a high ceiling.

Yeah, I'm sure teams are lining up to offer Detroit high lottery picks for Sasser

I am sure Detroit is excited about trading a 2nd year high upside guard for a lesser asset

A pick that projects as 7th isn't a lesser asset. That's a mind boggling statement.

Uncertain pick, that at best will be #7 in an unknown draft is certainly a lesser asset compared to a player on his 2nd year that has proven to be a NBA caliber player and have high upside and was rated as a top 4 player in a very strong draft.
Stop with the used car seller talk please.
No one is giving up a recent top 5 selection for that pick, unless the player is Killian Hayes level of bad.

I was laughing about that statement where you claimed that pick could land you Sasser. That's just ridiculous.
As for Ivey, I don't like him but I can understand you not wanting to trade him, though.
Tell that to Killian Hayes.wemby wrote:vege wrote:wemby wrote:Yeah, I'm sure teams are lining up to offer Detroit high lottery picks for Sasser
