For me it’s situational. If you’re wide open and feeling it then sure. If it’s the same shot the opposition know is coming in a 2-1 or end of quarter/game scenario then no thanks.
However JT has been carrying injuries and/or run out of puff in May/June. I’d rather he preserves himself now, so long as he doesn’t take a lot of bad shots when it matters.
Only time will tell, but JT is only 25 and is amazing regardless.
I love pull-ups against the drop, it’s the way to break the scheme. The iso ones less so, unless he’s cooking. And to his credit, he’s taken much better pull-ups this season compared to last.
Against the drop again for me is situational, depending on game moment and who is in the paint for the opposition. JT has come a long way for sure, but still a fair bit to go for mine on choosing the moments. I believe he'll continue to improve on that though, so my concern level is not high or anything.
