To everyone who thought we should've tanked as far back as summer of 2021, this is why we didn't. People should be thanking their lucky stars that Scottie got to be part of a couple of playoff runs before we hit the reset. RJ and IQ did as well.

So if you wanted to have him be a 5th option playing center or SG, why point out being a 1st option PF is a bit of a transition? Like duh.

Being a 5th and then 3rd and then 1st/2nd option is exactly the kind of progression you want from a motivational standpoint.

Giving an extremely raw rookie the keys without making him earn it is exactly the kind of counter-productive anti-learning curve that ruins careers.

Now Scottie not only has a taste of team success, but has had to put in the work to earn his place at the table.

I'm pulling for Darko, but I can't ignore the fact that everyone on this team looks way too unsure of themselves on offense and defense. Like they're listening to what they're supposed to do some of the time, but only a few guys actually get what they're actually doing and why.

No one has the ability to takeover on offense, and no takes ownership of a defensive assignment to lock someone down.

Everything is everyone's responsibility and no one's responsibility.

I mean we say that in this game but against OKC we looked like a very well prepared team that believed in the system. We have a young team with a young coach so these ups and downs and moments of confusion are gonna happen.

we also had a roster upheaval within the last 30 days. none of these had training camp together and we still have a trade deadline where guys may get moved. just a totally unsure time for everyone the last month.
