The previous 4 seasons he missed 4 total games and even this year he didn't miss half the games. This was a really dumb decision. Jones is miles better than Jacobs.
All and all I get they can get out of the deal after 1 year without much of an issue but really if they just didn't feel good about paying Jones I'd have preferred they just poney up the guarenteed cash over 3 years for Saquan

Jones has averaged 5 yards per carry in his career. Jacobs' career best is 4.9. Two of his 5 years he's averaged under 4 ypc and one year he was at 4. He's not a very good player.
