Gotta go to Jokic now. Shai has lost the plot when he is doing stuff like that.
he didn't "lose the plot" because of one play but that's a really bad look, no doubt
also, its funny how he's -9 in a game where 3 other starters were positive and it coincides with not having J-Dub
is it possible +- are affected by team context? no way!

I mean, bro. When you do stuff like that, that shows that your mindset is in a bad place. Chasing worthless stats. Individual honors, records, streaks. Low accountability/too much star power going on in OKC when you can do stuff like that. Especially the fact that he is chasing scoring especially is concerning to me, considering how little he playmakes/enables Chet on the offensive end, compared to J-Dub who is creating a very good 2 man game with Chet.
I think the Shai and J-Dub fit will be questionable if Shai decides to go the "ego route", thats actually why this play concerns me more than it normally would. The more your ego takes over, and you`re not being held accountable, the less you will adapt/play a team game, and this team needs to grow together and he needs to allow J-Dub and Chet to share more of the load/evolve their game. Especially Chet needs to be enabled more, because he clearly isn`t a demanding player, but they need more scoring from him in games like these, and thats when the Shai statpadding scoring in a loss concerns me, it just is a pretty big indicator that he is too focused on individual goals, when the team needs to grow more than he needs to score points, and he is responsible for setting up his teammates.
I was worried about how he would perform in the postseason if he struggled, I was saying maybe he will start chucking and being frustrated, and this play tells me that it might happen, and he can become a problem for the team chemistry/team development. Ego. Let`s just say I will be less surprised if SGA has a poor showing in the postseason after this, I thought he was a bit more mature, but the ego wants what the ego wants. Bad mindset.
Ofc I am reading into it a bit much, but its still a valuable insight into his mindset. Not many winning players do crap like this, because they understand the bigger picture. The playoffs need to start! I want to see the answers.
