I’d want to know what center is replacing Brook, because the team is very limited and I wouldn’t want to bank on Portis/Giannis center rotation.
For Houston, they can aggregate Adams salary and upgrade Brooks else where, while using Lopez as a 16-20mpg backup and big minutes when needed. He’s better than that, but maybe the reduced role extends his career..
Probably a bad idea.. but with these two teams
what does Houston add in a Middleton/Brooks swap? They’d likely have had to decide in maxing Sengun early and moving on from the potential 2025 free agent market I understand..
But between whatever Houston adds in that trade, Milwaukee’s own 2024 first and Portland’s 2024 second.. can Milwaukee use the small 8.7mil TPE in a way that makes the deal worthwhile?
What about 3 way deal of
Kennard + Aldama to Houston
Brooks to Milwaukee
Lopez to Memphis
Houston gets shooting and a servicable pf behind jabari, capspace in 2025
Houston is already getting some cap space in 2025.
I have them at 113 Million with Green/Sengun each at 30 Million.
My guess is they try and negotiate each of them this summer, but I have a hard time seeing Houston letting both Green and Sengun hit RFA following the 2024-2025 season.Memphis gets starting C
This is a no-brainer for Memphis since they give up 0 value for a good starting Center. They need to add something here.
Not a fan of trading two rotation players for a guy that won’t finish games for us. Brook in theory makes sense but we honestly may be looking for a starting PF rather than Center.
