Using salaries to point out how much time someone missed is kinda wrong on so many levels. The other tweet that you included had a much better argument i would say.

It's a full season award, not a post-trade deadline award though. Jokic has simply been the better and more impactful player over the whole season. Luka has come home with a wet sail, but once you start talking endlessly about injuries and hypothetical circumstances, you've basically admitting someone else has a stronger factual case. Pretty much all of the advanced metrics point to Jokic simply being more impactful and for longer.

Denver is such a good team because of Jokic, and they are a very poor team without Jokic on the floor. He's made his team mates good for so long now that people actually try and use the supporting cast argument against him, when tbh it's actually another argument for him.

The fact that Dallas/Luka fans have only really populated this thread in the last couple of months says it all.

Well, he's pulled his team into a playoff spot with a chance of home advantage still on the table. 12 wins of their last 13. That's a statement for the playoffs, not next year.

Offensively he's as impactful as LeBron ever has been. Defense is the difference though.

Overall? No one has been better since LeBron peaked. Kobe, Durant, Curry, Kawhi. Jokic simply during this peak is a step above.

Best feel for the game, ever. Best court vision, ever. Most in control player I've ever seen. It'll be easier to accept after his prime, but he has as good of a case as anyone for best offensive player of all time. Jordan, LeBron, Jokic stand on their own imo
