Good. That means someone will use cap space on him.

The Pistons may not have to go as far down their list as I thought.

If it’s even true.

They can offer $1m more per year in years 2-4 but it's a very small advantage.

The carpet thread title doesn't match the drapes tweet.

Is it possible for George to be S&T'd for KAT? I know Wolves are still in it and playing great, I'm just a KAT hater

How could entering a rebuild be good for them right now when they have traded or swapped away all of their FRPs (and all but two SRPs) until 2030?

25 per year is ridiculously low. PG is worth around 40 million per year.

Hell no.

There is literally no upside for the Wolves to do this. Kat is way younger than PG who is approaching washed territory.

See the last page. They were in a bad situation in 2017 also with aging lob city. Look what happened..

Seems to me that Paul's agent has been negotiating in good faith with the Clippers for a good while now. Unsuccessfully.

So, now comes the bad faith part of negotiations. Where you leak rumors and have your client say things designed to move the Clippers position. I think the Clippers will eventually cave. Maybe being able to have a partial guarantee or something on the final year. Some small concession by Paul to get this across the finish line. But, I think it's going to get ugly first, and the Clippers may have been better off just caving early before things became public and ugly.

It may be stupid money, but there will be other teams lining up to be stupid.

He could be winning titles with the Lakers, instead he will retire without a ring.

Boston is okay paying a 3rd or 4th option 34 mill because they have two young perennial all stars (one arguably superstar), and other young pieces and great role players. The Clippers are needing him to be the 2nd option… and he’s not adding defensive value or leadership like Jrue. Plus the Clippers will be forced to give up other assets next year to keep him.

But they told me PG wasn't leaving LA?

Money talks always will. If Charlotte is offering him the max he will gladly leave sunny LA for the country backwoods of Charlotte NC.

If the Clippers are smart… they call Kawhi’s bluff and piss him off by letting PG walk. Then Kawhi will willingly take a trade possibly.

They don’t even have much cap this FA. It’s about next year with Brunson, Tatum, Mitchell who will all decline player options.

I’d fully expect Tatum to sign a full supermax extension this summer.

I said that Tatum isn’t leaving last page and agree. Mitchell I definitely think they could poach and Brunson low chance, but possible.

Pistons can offer him a max, but let's be real that would be a stupid move. PG alone is not enough to make them a playoff team.

A team like Charlotte would make more sense because of the young talent they already have adding a PG makes them a playoff team. They could also offer Bridges in a sign n trade.

Bridges for PG Clippers get a younger player at the same position they can still build around Kawhi.

I think Orlando will be the major contender for PG. He already said on his podcast he likes that team and the cornerstones Banchero/Franz. It's probably the next best location if he ultimately leaves LA.

My money is on Orlando.
