if that's the route they go things will get extremely ugly for them. They have literally no size, not 1 7 footer(Turner is 6'11), next biggest guy is the revolving door on defense. I see OG roaming around off his man tonight, Mitch on Turner and whomever is on halliburton should do everything they can to push him into the teeth of the defense.
Turner has to have a great series for them to beat us. Our bigs certainly don't like to stretch out to the 3 pt arc...my guess is the games Turner is hot from 3 is the games Indy will have a good chance beating us. To the point Thibs should look into playing precious at the 5 in this series to help with there bigs that like to shoot when our 2 centers really don't want to go out and guard.
I think NDOS mentioned when the playoffs starting when Indy was a potential matchup that we might be better suited with ihart or mitch guarding Siakam (not a good shooter). And then have OG on Turner...so that if they run that 1/5 P&R with Hali/Turner we can either hedge that and OG is quick enough to recover. Or just have Hart on Hali and OG on Turner and just switch that screen everytime and that limits what they want to do.
I kinda like that idea with OG. I do think our bigs can manage Turner as well since he's not a threat to come into the center like Embiid was. Turner's either gonna be inside or out. As others have mentioned, Precious should be able to handle Turner as well.
On offense, I'm wondering if we'll see a bunch of Mitchell Lobinson. If these bigs help on Brunson the lob should be there all day. For iHart too.
If they are gonna double high, depending on who’s in the game with Mitch, if Brunson gets the pass off quickly to whomever is at the free throw line(prob ihart or OG) it will either be a 2 on 1 lob to Mitch or a wide open 3
