Edit: what is even more hilarious is that Jalen Smith is also there, watching from the bench though he'd be a key role player for us right now.
Yet another clear indictment of Jones being a horrible GM and another reason why he needs to be fully removed from any legitimate front office role as in his near 7-8 years with our franchise, he's slowly dismantled our foundation and over time our future both immediate and long term as well.

We don't know how they would have developed in AZ. Which rookie has developed here? Bridges? Stat? Booker? How many have failed here?
You make a very good and fair point man! But how they might have been utilized or underutilized and or not developed has nothing to do with my point about Jones because clearly it's about simply recognizing and acquiring elite potential talent, and the issue with Jones is simply that he himself openly admitted to not valuing/caring about the draft, and also stated he would have passed on Booker for a vet option as a known commodity over the crapshoot that is the draft. And he's not even shy about how much he loathes the draft by how aggressively he gives away all of our draft assets in lopsided deals.
Now this becomes a very big problem when the entirety of the league has clearly been transitioning to a younger, bigger, more athletic, more hungry, more physical, and energetic youth movement around a younger more exciting generation of stars. We're falling far behind the curve competitively with no way to catch back up aside from completely blowing things up and finally entering the race while everyone else has already competitively lapped us.
My point is that while you're right that we couldn't have fully known how either of those players might have worked out in our environment, or even if we would've wanted them, Jone's primary job as a GM in those situations was to identify talent and acquire it if available. Jones has really only hit on maybe 1 decent talent in Cam Johnson out of his nearly 8 years of being our GM BECAUSE again, as he himself admitted, he doesn't care about the draft and doesn't even bother putting the work/time/ research into identifying potential talent or even decent productive contributory options. I'd have no problems with him if he'd only try like any other GM is willing to do, but he doesn't care, when for us, it's a viable and cost-effective method of sustainability and talent/asset acquisition. Our franchise is simply not good enough or in a position to ignore opportunities so negligibly.
And although your point is very accurate man, you don't pass on potentially elite talent! especially when it's well-documented throughout the league and in media! This again speaks to the gross ineptitude of this franchise's front office.
